• MARKET NOTES: MAY 10, 2026

This note outlines my current market outlook based on upcoming heliocentric and planetary alignments.

I believe the period of greatest market risk is likely to occur in July.

On 11 May, Jupiter moves into heliocentric Leo. In my view, this may be an early signal of the broader shift that could lie ahead.

This is followed on 12 May by a heliocentric conjunction between Mars and Saturn, which I interpret as another sign that markets may be approaching a peak.

The Saturn–Neptune alignment that began in February coincided with rising oil prices and appears to be echoed again later this week. As a result, I think it is more likely that indices begin to weaken after Monday, 18 May, although I do not yet expect this to be interpreted as a correction.

Vesta moves into Aries on 13 May, which I see as an additional indication that market levels may be becoming increasingly fragile.

On Thursday, 13 May, the Sun conjoins Mercury in Taurus. The last time a similar configuration occurred, albeit at a slightly different degree, gold declined for a week and silver fell for 20 days.

To be clear, I do not expect a correction this week. Instead, I believe indices may reach further all-time highs before any broader decline begins.

The United States will mark its 250th anniversary on 4 July, and trader sentiment may remain buoyant until then. After that date, however, I expect a meaningful shift in mood, which could contribute to sharp declines in indices and potentially support higher gold and silver prices.

From a trading perspective, I am watching for a decline in silver from 13 May.

I will be presenting my research on Mercury cycles at an investment conference in Slovenia over the weekend of 23–24 May. My research is ongoing, and I will share further findings as they develop.

  • February 1st

Jupiter was aligned with Fixed Star Castor on January 6th, 2026 – just three days before President Trump launched a special operation to “arrest” the president and first lady of Venezuela. The final touches to that audacious plan were likely put in place as the Sun transited the opposition to its position on July 4th (America’s ‘birthday’).

The first week of January has always been important for the USA. Only a few years ago we saw the storming of the Capitol Building. An entire Pluto cycle earlier George Washington defeated British forces at the Battle of Princeton. In the 20th century, it was during this week that Alaska became the US’ 49th State whilst two years later, diplomatic relations with Cuba were severed. In 1990, Panama’s Manuel Noriega surrendered.

Jupiter’s alignment with Castor – a Fixed Star in the constellation of Gemini – indicated considerably increased lines of communications. Few would disagree that globally a flurry of diplomatic activity has been visible since the arrest of the Venezuelan President.

Disagreement has been bubbling on and below the surface.

    What happens next?

  • Minneapolis

Minneapolis was founded on July 10th 1847 but not incorporated until February 6th 1867.

The founding chart describes the nature of the city. According to Mark Penfield in his ‘Horoscopes of the USA and Canada’, it was settled largely by Protestants and Scandinavians and is a progressive and receptive city: befitting its Gemini Moon. It is full of beautiful parks and numerous lakes; reflected in the trine between Jupiter and Saturn and Neptune both in Pisces.

As would be expected, there are many links between the founding and incorporation charts. At the time of incorporation, Uranus had moved to conjoin the Jupiter position of the latter. Of rather more interest to us at present, is that the Pisces Moon in the chart for the incorporation was passing over the Saturn position of the founding chart: a degree that will be accentuated at the lunar eclipse on March 3rd 2026.

In 1867, Neptune moved from Pisces to Aries: an ingress that occurred again on January 26th 2026. Neptune’s Aries ingress in 1867 coincided with the battle of Fort Sumter – the start of the US civil war. Is a theme replaying?

A few weeks ago President Trump announced that he was considering using the Act of Insurrection to send in the National Guard. What is fascinating is that the Act was SIGNED on March 3rd 1807.

What is clear is that the Lunar Eclipse on March 3, 2026, affects all three charts. Will this bring an end to the tension in that beautiful city, or see it heightened? Lunar eclipses are not like solar eclipses. They do not repeat at set intervals. Indeed, the last lunar eclipse within a degree of 12 Virgo (as in March 2026) was in 1962 at the height of the Cold War.

Minneapolis was not  ‘in the news’ as it is today, – but then Pluto was not traveling through Aquarius (the Sun sign of the Incorporation chart). Though Pluto has yet to reach the solar position, it is clear that there is profound distress being felt in that city. We must hope that the lunar eclipse marks the start of a period of healing.

    What happens next?

On February 26th Jupiter aligns with Canopus – the second brightest star in the heavens. This Fixed Star is said to be of the nature of Jupiter and this alignment is said to bring both opportunity and success.

Could this be the date when the USA ‘acquires’ Greenland?

February 26th is between the two eclipses (Feb 17th and March 3rd) – a period when the geomagnetic field is altered and- very often – hyper eventful.

Over 26th and 27th trading – negotiating – asteroid Vesta conjoins Mercury (wins a deal) as Venus meets with the USA’s progressed Sun.

    As always, we shall see.

  • 2026

The entire solar system is whirling through space. In the time that it takes you to read this, we will have covered thousands of kilometres and possible that we are entering an area where our consciousness and intelligence will be upgraded.

Yes, I agree that recent global events suggest the opposite. Yet developing alignments of planets within our solar system haven’t been seen for thousands of years. Both within and without the solar system, we are encountering conditions about which we know nothing.

Tempting as it is to see only a bleak future and the end of this civilisation as we have known it, the opposite may be true:

You know those times when Microsoft says that it needs to update your computer? It always seems to ask at such an inconvenient moment. I think that we (humankind) were offered the chance to do a download last summer when Uranus made brief entry into Gemini.

I suspect that by late April our options for deferring that upgrade will have run out. Indeed, with Uranus conjoining Sedna in Gemini for the first time in thousands of years, and in extra-ordinary formation with both Neptune and Pluto, I think that download will begin in earnest. It could take until to 2028 to conclude or for us to learn new systems.

If I can continue with the analogy, I think that this download will remove viruses – some of which you may not have known were there. Old systems will fall away. Just as we had to learn to move from one version of Windows to another, so we will have to adapt to new ways of working.

The possibilities are exciting. Yes, the journey could be irritating – which is perhaps why it might take us as much as two years to get used to new ways of thinking and working. And yes, in the process many of our old programs will come unstuck.
